 Dog Team Available

 I am looking for someone who is interested in running my dogs, 29, in training this season 08/09 for especially Iditarod Qualifiers such as Seney 300 and UP 200.  On the table is an offer for use of my cabin, the entire team (29 dogs) for the season, and my coaching and help as much as I can find time. Several dogs (8) have been to Nome and all dogs are high probability candidates for Iditarod.  Costs?  Fifty/fifty on dog food, people food and propane during Sept –Feb. 

It is a marvelous opportunity way for someone to get up to speed fast with an Iditarod caliber team, and reliably get qualifiers done.  Plus it is an opportunity to live in an environment where other Iditarod mushers are often coming with their teams and ample opportunity for social networking.

I hope to maintain the caliber and conditioning on the dogs for a possible run in Iditarod again in 2010.

My wife Jennifer is now is working in Albuquerque, NM.  I am trying to bridge past this season, keeping the dogs in shape for a possible Iditarod or Quest in 2010.  I need some schedule flexibility so if needed I can spend a little time with Jennifer in Albuquerque to keep her from getting too homesick.

 I am open to alternatives and willing to negotiate.
